• Chief of Engineers Visits Honolulu District, Pacific Ocean Division

    Lt. Gen. Thomas P. Bostick, commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Chief of Engineers, visited the Honolulu District and Pacific Ocean Division (POD) headquarters here July 23-24 on the final leg of his tour of three POD Districts (Japan, Korea and Honolulu).

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $22.6 million contract July 26 to Big-D Construction of Salt Lake City for the design and construction of an addition to the Life Science Test facility at Dugway Proving Grounds, located in Tooele County, Utah.

    Colonel Anthony C. Funkhouser assumed command of the Northwestern Division office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on July 27, 2012. He succeeds Colonel Robert A. Tipton, who served as commander since the retirement of Brig. Gen. John R. McMahon in June.
