    Garrison Project 2013-2014 Winter Access Policy now available

    The 2013-2014 winter access policy released by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Garrison Project identifies 55 points of entry to Lake Sakakawea. The Lake has not yet completely frozen over, but with the recent cold weather it won’t be long. The Omaha District urges everyone to exercise extreme caution. Thin ice or open water may exist near springs and pressure ridges throughout the winter.

    Jennings Randolph Lakes accepting Christmas trees for recycling

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Jennings Randolph Lake will be accepting natural Christmas trees to use as fish structures in the lake beginning Dec. 30. Instead of throwing away your trees, you now have the opportunity to donate it to a cause that will benefit shoreline fishing and overall fish habitat at Jennings Randolph Lake.

    Kentucky Lock gets new tow haulage unit

    GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (Dec. 10, 2013) — U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District employees completed the Tow Haulage Unit Replacement Project at Kentucky Lock in Grand Rivers, Ky., Dec. 5, 2013. They finished the work on time and the navigation lock has resumed 24-hour operations.
