Ms. Liz Walker was appointed the Acting Director of Contracting for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in February 2023. In this role, Ms. Walker was responsible for leading the USACE contracting activities which is comprised of a nationwide team of 1,600 contracting professionals awarding nearly $25B in annual spend across Military Programs, Civil Works, Real Estate and Research and Development missions. 

Immediately prior to this, Ms. Walker was the Director of Small Business for USACE where she led one of the top small business programs in the federal government spending nearly $9B with small businesses annually. Ms. Walker began her federal government career as a contract specialist with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) specializing in Construction, A/E, Environmental and Facility-related services contracting. She has served various positions increasing in responsibility within the contracting and small business fields. 

Ms. Walker is Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certified in Contracting. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management from George Mason University.
