    When life gives you Monday, the Memphis District gives you motivation. How? Because MVM employees know how to rock it like no one else. Take for example the district's latest Employee of the Month, Samantha Harper. During the month of August, District Commander Col. Brian Sawser had the opportunity to meet with our Grand Prairie and Bayou Meto project sponsors to get a firsthand look at all the work that’s been done thus far.

One Memphis District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers child is very interested in police officers, to say the least. Anything having to do with the police, he loves it.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi Valley Division, recently selected St. Paul District Channels and Harbors Section Supervisor and Lewiston, Minnesota, resident Steve Tapp as the division’s nominee for the national Outstanding Civilian of the Year Award.
  • New Supplemental Program Manager, Programs Management Branch

    Simmerman began his career as a Civil Engineer in the Survey Section, where he completed a year and a half “intern” rotational assignment rotating through various Memphis District Offices. Andy has also worked on the Mississippi River Channel Improvement Project and has served over four years as a Project Manager working on projects in Eastern Arkansas, mainly the Grand Prairie Project and White River Comprehensive Study, as well as the St. Johns New Madrid Project.

    GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (June 4, 2019) – The commander of the U.S. Army Great Lakes and Rivers Division made his final visit to the Nashville District before relinquishing command next month. The general received project updates and took time to recognize employees for excellence in reinforcing a legacy of “Taking Care of People,” an important component of workforce readiness and ultimately mission accomplishment.
