  • Ash named Nashville District Employee of the Month for March 2021

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 14, 2021) – Zona Ash, office administrator at the Old Hickory Resource Manager’s Office in Hendersonville, Tennessee, is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Employee of the Month for March 2021. She is recognized primarily for her efforts to reduce obsolete materials and reorganize the file room.
  • 21-010 Dworshak Dam discharges to decrease to 10,500 cfs for upcoming week

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for March and April, Dworshak Dam will be decreasing releases starting Friday night, March 12, at midnight. This decrease will result in the river lowering less than 1 foot over the hour between midnight on Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday morning, and less than 1 foot between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., after which time flows will remain constant.

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for March and April, Dworshak Dam will be decreasing releases starting Friday night, March 5, at midnight. This decrease will result in the river lowering less than 1 foot over the hour between midnight on Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
  • 21-005 Dworshak Dam discharges to increase to 15,000 cfs for first week of March

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for March and April, Dworshak Dam will be increasing releases starting Sunday Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.. This increase will result in the river rising approximately 3.5 feet between 7 p.m. Sunday night and 1 a.m. Monday morning.
  • New deputy commander’s passion for engineering runs in the family

    When the Baltimore District was in the search for a new deputy commander, Col. Ed Chamberlayne said three peers had reached out to him personally to recommend Lt. Col. Brad Morgan. Morgan was selected and started with the district on Jan. 23, bringing with him nearly 17 years of service to the Nation in the Army. This is Morgan's second time serving as deputy commander for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' district, having also done so from 2013 - 2015, at the Nashville District, ironically as his older brother Clay was also serving as deputy commander at the Fort Worth District (and still is).
