USACE’s Albuquerque District hosts Tribal Nations Open House, talks big policy updates
The Albuquerque District held a Tribal Nations Open House at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, June 25. More than 30 representatives from 18 different Tribal Nations attended the event, which focused on strengthening partnerships and providing updates about recent policy changes and how USACE can apply those updates to better support Tribal Nations.

Army Corps of Engineers Tribal Nations Technical Center of Excellence hosts liaison training, meets with Nez Perce Tribe
Members of the Tribal Nations Technical Center of Expertise attended a training event for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tribal Nations community of practice in Walla Walla, Washington, June 17-19. During the training, the group met with members of the Nez Perce Tribe whose reservation is located in the vicinity of Orofino, Idaho.

USACE, Navajo Nation Meet to Facilitate Future Partnerships
The commanders of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque, Los Angeles, and Sacramento districts joined USACE’s South Pacific Division commander for a collaborative meeting with representatives from several departments and agencies within the Navajo Nation, April 23-25, 2018. This was the first regional partnership meeting organized by The Corps of Engineers Tribal Nations Technical Center of Expertise.
