  • Corps of Engineers awards contract to complete levee repairs on Union and No Name Dike Levee System

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District awarded a $1.68 million construction contract to KEU Inc. of Vancouver, Washington, Monday to repair the Union and No Name Dike Levee System between Valley and Fremont, Nebraska.  The contract will allow the team to fully repair the system damaged during the March 2019 flooding.  It is estimated that there are more than 1300 structures and property worth $1 billion behind the system.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, recently awarded a contract for excavating, processing, and stockpiling clay material at the Bonnet Carrė Spillway. This material will support the construction of approximately 17.5 miles of levee system that will provide 100 year level risk reduction to the area extending from Bonnet Carrė spillway to Garyville.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District recently awarded contracts in Uptown New Orleans to restore green space that was removed to construct the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA). The $574,496 contract for Louisiana Avenue was awarded to Tarpan Construction, LLC. and the $747,298 contract for Jefferson Avenue was awarded to Jemison & Partners INC.

    HUNTSVILLE, Alabama--The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville awarded a $64 million firm-fixed-price contract to Leidos Innovations Corp., Gaithersburg, Maryland, April 25 to provide enterprise-wide information management/information technology services in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Work will be performed in Vicksburg, Mississippi, with an estimated completion date of 2019.
