  • 30 December 2022 - EPA and Army Finalize Rule Establishing Definition of WOTUS and Restoring Fundamental Water Protections

    Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of the Army (the agencies) announced a final rule establishing a durable definition of “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) to reduce uncertainty from changing regulatory definitions, protect people’s health, and support economic opportunity.
  • Public meeting scheduled for Regional General Permit SAJ-114

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection will jointly host a public meeting to present information about the proposed Corps Regional General Permit (RGP) SAJ-114 and the corresponding DEP Ecosystem Management Agreement. Interested individuals, groups and agencies are encouraged to attend the meeting to provide comments and ask questions.
  • EPA and Army Corps of Engineers clarify protection for nation’s streams and wetlands

    On March 25, 2014, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) jointly released a proposed rule to clarify protection under the Clean Water Act for streams and wetlands that form the foundation of the nation’s water resources. In addition, EPA and the Department of the Army for Civil Works announced an interpretive rule for the 404(f)(1)(A) exemption under the Clean Water Act. The interpretive rule clarifies what specific Natural Resources Conservation Service conservation practices qualify as "upland soil and water conservation practices" under the Clean Water Act.
