  • NR 22-18: Public invited to celebrate in Dale Hollow State Park ‘Clean Marina’ Dedication

    BURKESVILLE, Ky. (July 27, 2022) — The public is cordially invited to attend the dedication ceremony for Dale Hollow State Park Marina in Burkesville, Kentucky, as a Clean Marina in the Cumberland River Basin. The ceremony is 10 a.m. Aug. 6, 2022, on the dock at the marina.

  • Marina@Rowena celebrates Clean Marina Award

    ALBANY, Ky. (May 19, 2022)— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has awarded Marina@Rowena the Clean Marina Award for 2022. During an award ceremony held at the Marina@Rowena, May 17, 2022, Nashville District Operations Manager Michael Lapina presented the Clean Marina flag to Marina@Rowena General Manager David Dyson, which was hoisted at the main peer during the ceremony.

  • Willow Grove Marina celebrates 15 years as Clean Marina

    ALLONS, Tenn. (Dec. 15, 2021) – The first Clean Marina flag to fly over any marina in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Cumberland River Basin was at Willow Grove Marina located on Dale Hollow Lake in Clay County, Tennessee.  Fifteen years later, with long-term family and staff carrying on the effort, Willow Grove Marina completed its recertification as a Clean Marina for a third cycle.

  • Lake Cumberland marina earns ‘clean marina’ flag

    NASHVILLE, TENN., (Sept. 14, 2015) – With the sound of marine boat motors in the background, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District presented a ‘Clean Marina’ certification flag to a Lake Cumberland marina during a brief ceremony Sept. 10, 2015. Conley Bottom Resort in Monticello, Ky., became the first marina on Lake Cumberland to earn the distinguished certification.

On Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, the Corps, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, Cumberland River Compact, and Conley Bottom Resort will celebrate the marina receiving their new flag to designate them as a “Clean Marina.”
