These areas are expected to re-open by the end of September 2023.
  • NR 23-31: Comment Period extended for Center Hill Water Control Manual Environmental Assessment

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 23, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has extended the comment period for the draft Environmental Assessment and unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact for the revision of the 1998 Center Hill Dam and Reservoir Water Control Manual. Comments will be accepted until September 15, 2023.
  • NR 23-30: Wolf Creek Dam oxygen diffuser project contract awarded

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 17, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces a base contract award to Brasfield & Gorrie, L.L.C., of $16.8M for the Dissolved Oxygen facility. This is a sustainability project funded by the Section 212 Program to install an upstream diffuser system at Wolf Creek Dam on the Cumberland River in Jamestown, Kentucky.

    HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 1, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces a brief drawdown of Old Hickory Lake from late October through late November to assess the condition of the shoreline adjacent to Corps operated recreation areas, as well as perform maintenance in recreation areas.

(May 2, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that Kendall Campground and Day Use Area, to include its boat ramp and roadway along the riverside campground, will remain closed into August 2023 as repairs continue to rehabilitate flood damage sustained in February 2019.
