  • Army Corps team deploys to Montana, Idaho for flood assistance

    The Emergency Operations Center at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, partially activated May 19 in response to the St. Joe and Clark Fork rivers exceeding flood stage. The states of Idaho and Montana requested technical assistance and six USACE flood responders have deployed to the area to provide support.

    By order of Col. Bill Hannan, the commander of the Kansas City District, the Emergency Operations Center activation level returned to Level IV – normal operations – today. The district has been continuously activated since March 13, 2019 – 279 days which marks the longest duration declared flooding event in district history.
