  • Canyon Lake dropping lake levels cause closing of Boat Ramp 21

    Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Canyon Lake are closing Potters Creek Boat Ramp 21 due to dropping lake levels.  The closure will be effective Tuesday, August 22.
  • USACE to temporarily close boat ramp at Devils Fork Park

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is temporarily closing the boat ramp at Devils Fork Park on Nov. 8 and 9 so construction crews can re-surface the lower parking lot near the boat ramp. USACE asks boaters to use the corrugated boat ramps at nearby parks until the work is complete. 
  • USACE to temporarily close Paraloma boat ramp

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will temporarily close the Paraloma boat ramp on Millwood Lake from Aug. 22-29. The Millwood Tri-Lakes Project Office scheduled the closure to repair the entrance road to the ramp.

  • Hartwell Lake closes Singing Pines boat ramp

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – Corps of Engineers officials at Hartwell Lake have closed all access at Singing Pines Recreation Area, including the roadway leading to the boat ramp parking area, in response to repeated trespassing of the adjacent closed day-use area and public safety issues along the park entrance road and the boat ramp parking area.
  • Thurmond closes 3 more boat ramps due to corona virus

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – Officials at J. Strom Thurmond Lake have closed an additional three boat ramps in cooperation with local law enforcement to help achieve the national individual distancing standards set by the government. Officials previously closed the visitors center and all restrooms, campgrounds and day-use areas (and boat ramps inside those areas) at the reservoir.
  • Thurmond Lake officials announce seasonal closing of certain recreation sites

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – Certain recreation sites at the J. Strom Thurmond Lake will close or partially close for the season between Sept. 4 and Sept. 30.
