WINCHESTER, Va. — Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite, the 54th Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, “coined” TAD Logistics Specialist Tim O'Dell for his outstanding support to the Division members here at the headquarters and at deployed locations across the Middle East and Central Asia.

“This is probably one of the most agile groups we have to be able to pick up a project and run with it,” said Semonite. “You guys are doing a phenomenal job. Be proud of what you’re doing.”

TAD’s Chief of Logistics Todd Hasbrouck, and O’Dell’s supervisor, recommended him for the high-level recognition.

“Tim went into Iraq to provide oversight and assistance to the Mosul Dam Task Force S4 during the drawdown and redeployment phase of the operation, said Hasbrouck. “His support was critical at that time, because the MDTF logistics team consisted of only one senior NCO, who was managing support efforts at the Dam and in Erbil at the same time. Tim assisted with containerization requirements, interfacing with Customs for clearances for container shipment back to Winchester, final transfer of equipment to the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources, remaining property disposal, and property accountability of sensitive items being returned to Winchester.”

“I was a part of a great team at MDTF, including Capt. Will Mengon and Master Sgt. Amit Ranadey, so really a piece of this coin belongs to the them for all of their efforts in making the mission a success,” said O’Dell. “It is always great to be recognized for one's efforts, but it was particularly special to be singled out and recognized by the Chief of Engineers. I am thankful to the TAD and USACE leadership for their confidence. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the success of the TAD and USACE missions.”
