Joey Behr, a Program Manager in the Business Integration Division, was named the Transatlantic Division’s Employee of the Quarter for October-December 2019. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Behr’s selection was announced during a telephonic All-Hands Town Hall held across the globe on March 19, 2020, with employees from inside the U.S. and from around a dozen countries in the Middle East.

Col. Chris Beck, Transatlantic Division Commander, said Behr’s work is “exceptional” and sincerely appreciated.

“Joey’s efforts to develop the TAD long-range calendar created an authoritative source for leadership calendar scrubs, key leader engagement planning and intra-divisional synchronization and de-confliction,” Beck said. “While representing TAD as the focal point, Joey provided phenomenal customer service while interacting within our Division and with our joint military partners, as well as with outside industry.”

Behr was also recognized for travelling to Jordan as a member of an alternate dispute resolution contract team that helped the Transatlantic Middle East District recoup $11 million after a contract close-out – something above and beyond his current duties. He was also lauded for his work preparing the Division to conduct a week-long staff assistance visit to the Afghanistan Districts, which took place in February 2020.

Behr’s work ethic inspires others throughout TAD, according to Beck. “Thank you for performing at an extraordinary level this quarter,” Beck said. “Your dedication, commitment, and initiative are outstanding. I remain grateful for all of your hard work and devotion to duty.”

Behr was nominated for the quarterly award by his boss, Business Integration Division Chief Scott Cilley, who said Behr was “a slam dunk winner for Employee of the Quarter. His accomplishments are outstanding!”

Upon hearing of his selection for the award, Behr said: “Working at TAD has given me the opportunity to directly support the Command and broaden my understanding of how the division operates. I appreciate the recognition and confidence that the team has in me to execute this position.”
