Beginning March 17, the following recreation updates are in effect:

All Little Rock District locations:

  • Day-use parks: open
  • Boat ramps: open
  • Fishing areas, disc golf courses, mountain bike and hiking trails: open
  • Day use areas like shelters and picnic areas: open
  • If a campground is currently open - it will remain: open
  • If a campground isn't scheduled to be open yet, it will remain: closed
  • USACE sponsored events: cancelled
  • Visitor's Centers and Project Offices: closed

The Little Rock District is currently evaluating potential impacts to campgrounds and will update the public in the event of closures. We are working closely with state and federal governments to ensure that recreation areas are open for as long as possible, but please keep in mind this situation is fluid, and can change.

If state parks are closed by direction of the Governor, USACE Little Rock District parks and recreation areas will also close. If the Centers for Disease Control or USACE Headquarters direct the closure of parks and recreation areas, we will close. Until then, enjoy the parks and campgrounds, be safe, and keep informed.

NOTE: Lake Ouachita, Lake Greeson, and Lake DeGray are not in the Little Rock District. These lakes are in the Vicksburg, Mississippi District, and are subject to different rules. To learn more please visit the Vicksburg District Website.
