USACE To Temporarily Close Jennings Ferry Campground

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Black Warrior & Tombigbee Lakes recreation area will temporarily close the Jennings Ferry campground from March 5-19 due to the impacts of heavy rains on facility dump stations.

“Due to high waters we are not able to provide some of the amenities that our campers need, such as bathrooms and dump stations”, said David White, Park Ranger. Repairs to the facilities are tentatively scheduled for completion by March 19th.

While the Jennings Ferry campground will be closed at this time, the day-use area will remain open. Restrooms, however, will also remain closed as restoration of services impacted by the heavy rains continues.
