Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak Guidance

Current CDC guidance regarding Coronavirus is that individuals returning from Countries with a Level 3 Travel Health Notice (currently China, S. Korea, Iran and Italy) should STAY home for 14 days from the time they left the area. All beneficiaries with recent travel to affected geographic areas who exhibit fever or signs and symptoms of lower respiratory illness (e.g. cough or shortness of breath) should call the Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-874-2273 and select Option 1 for telephone screening and direction to appropriate location for care. Please do not show up to the clinic in person prior to calling for guidance.

The following guidance is for the individuals in which socially distancing and home monitoring have been recommended:
a. Monitor for fever, 100.5F or above, by taking your temperature two times a day. Also, watch for cough or trouble breathing. If the symptoms are life threatening activate EMS by calling 911.
b. Stay home and avoid contact with others. Do not go to work or school during this 14-day period. Individuals should discuss their situation with their employer before returning to work.
c.    Avoid using public transportation, taxis or ride-shares during this time.
d.    Limit activities in public and avoid crowded places.
e.    If in proximity with others, try to keep 6 feet (2 meters) distance.
f.    Practice good hand, sneeze and cough hygiene with frequent handwashing and liberal use of sanitizing gel.
