VA/USACE partnership
Senior leaders from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) conduct a three-day conference in Frederick, Maryland at the VA Acquisition Academy earlier in June. Conference focuses included the health of the VA/USACE partnership, program priorities, and strategic plan and partnering initiatives. For almost a decade, USACE has provided project and construction management, engineering services, and other support to the VA. The VA/USACE Super Construction Program manages over 30 super construction projects valued at over $14 billion nation-wide and is part of the wide variety of programs and services the VA offers which support the wellness and care of a veteran population of over 22 million.
