JAMESTOWN, Ky. — A drill rig operates with construction crews in the background at Wolf Creek Dam in Jamestown, Ky., Aug. 7, 2012. The contractor, Treviicos-Soletanche J.V., for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Foundation Remediation Project reached one million hours without a lost-time accident Aug. 17, 2012. The Corps and the contractor constantly refined the construction process to keep equipment movement and drilling sequences on schedule made safety very important not only on the work platform, but also in the maintenance shop, staging areas, desanding plant and slurry ponds.
