LOUISIANA — Work continues on the Bayou Bienvenue Vertical Lift Gate, one component of the massive $1.1 billion U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District's Inner Harbor Navigation Canal-Lake Borgne Surge Barrier. The Surge Barrier project was recently recognized by the American Council of Engineering Companies with the 2012 Grand Conceptor Award for the most outstanding engineering achievement this year.
