Black Women in American Culture and History celebrated
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Carolynn Martin, president of the Los Angeles View Park Section of the National Council of Negro Women, introduces herself as a mother, grandmother and community activist of 40 years. Martin said their founder, Mary McLeod Bethune, envisioned an organization of organizations providing a platform for all women.
