Cape May Project
Lt. Col. Philip Secrist, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia district commander, speaks about the Cape May beach nourishment project along with representatives from Cape May, New Jersey Department of Environment Protection, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Congressional staff for Congressman Frank LoBiondo and Senator Frank R. Lautenberg. The $9 million project placed approximately 600,000 cubic yards of sand onto the beach and was cost shared by USACE, the Coast Guard, NJDEP and Cape May City.
