USACE Acting Commanding General Visits Joplin
JOPLIN, Mo. -- Maj. Gen. Merdith W. B. "Bo" Temple, acting chief of engineers and acting commanding general of USACE, discusses debris removal operations with Louis Audi, a quality assurance representative, during a visit here July 19. Since June 2, Corps employees have supervised the removal of more than 1.2 million cubic yards of tornado debris from Joplin streets and private properties. Audi, is a deployed employee from the Corps' Walla Walla District in Washington. More than 300 Corps employees have volunteered to serve in support of federal recovery operations here.
