During a trip to Germany in October 2018, team members from the USACE Paint Technology Center, along with international partners, visited the Niederfinow Boat Lift near Brandenburg, Germany. The lift is the largest ship lift in Germany. During the visit, the team members learned how those in Germany do their protective coatings on their civil works structures and gained valuable information to help generate world-wide guidance on certain expertise areas.
