Jake Kennedy, senior electrician at the Old Hickory Power plant, and Will Garner, a hydropower engineer, talked to teachers from the Stratford Magnet High School about the powerhouse’s many functions and management of the water. The teachers spent the day using externships with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District to develop a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics class curriculum.
