  • Portland District Welcomes New Leader

  • Galveston District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Signs MOU to Enhance Understanding of Gulf Sediments

    GALVESTON, Texas – Galveston District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) (a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior) and the Texas General Land Office (GLO) to streamline and synchronize Gulf of Mexico sediment resource identification data for use in Texas coastal protection and restoration plans and projects.
  • Alamo Dam sill replacement

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District will make lower-than-normal releases from Alamo Dam to facilitate contract divers as they begin repair work on the sill of the outlet works July 23.
  • Crawfish Season extended at Indian Bayou

    In response to higher than normal water levels in the area, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has elected to extend the crawfish season for one month within the Indian Bayou area. The season end date is now August 31, 2020.
  • Waterfowl blind drawing scheduled at Harry S. Truman Lake

    WARSAW, Mo.— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Harry S. Truman Lake to hold waterfowl blind registration for the 2020 Missouri waterfowl season Aug. 22, 2020. 
  • Releases from Fort Peck Dam to decline during maintenance work

    Releases from Fort Peck Dam will be reduced from 11,000 cubic feet per second to 8,500 cfs on July 28 and then increase slightly to 9,000 cfs on July 29. A Power Plant maintenance project originally scheduled for June was rescheduled for late July. The project will require outages on Units 1, 2, and 3 to support testing on Unit 2.
  • Lewis and Clark Visitor Center opens with modifications

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lewis and Clark Visitor Center at Gavins Point Project will open Tuesday to visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
