    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting an open house at the Mississippi River Lock and Dam 4 in Alma, Wisconsin, July 29.
  • Change of Command scheduled for Mississippi Valley Division

    Major General Diana M. Holland will transfer command of the Mississippi Valley Division (MVD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), to Brigadier General Kimberly Peeples in a formal change of command ceremony July 12, at 10 a.m. at Engineer Research and Development Center’s, (ERDC) Information Technology Lab (ITL), located 1165 Porters Chapel Road (Building 8000) Vicksburg.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi Valley District, recently awarded the Corps’ St. Paul District Small Boat Instructor Team its 2023 Water Safety Award for the work they have done teaming up with local emergency management services to conduct water rescue near locks and dams.
  • First barge of the 2023 navigation season arrives in St. Paul, Minnesota

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, locked the Motor Vessel Phillip M Pfeffer with six barges through Lock and Dam 2, in Hastings, Minnesota, March 12, en route to St. Paul, Minnesota. The lockage marks the unofficial start to the 2023 Upper Mississippi River navigation season.
