PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $115 million contract late yesterday to Ames Construction, Inc., of Burnsville, Minnesota, to construct the Red River Control Structure portion of the Fargo, North Dakota/Moorhead, Minnesota, Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project, or FM Area Diversion.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, along with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and the North Dakota Department of Transportation, will be closing multiple roads associated with the I-29 grade raise project. These road closures are expected to begin around April 1 and continue through the summer.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will increase releases at Reservation Dam at Lake Traverse, near Wheaton, Minnesota, beginning Feb. 16, and at White Rock Dam at Mud Lake, near Wheaton, Minnesota, beginning Feb. 17.

There will be an abundance of ice being released and subsequent open water and/or thin ice, causing possible safety concerns for anyone on the ice downstream.
