    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is increasing outflow from Baldhill Dam located near Valley City, North Dakota, to lower Lake Ashtabula before spring runoff.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, continues to lower water elevations within its six Mississippi River Headwaters reservoirs in anticipation of winter conditions.
  • St. Paul District assists Kansas City District with Dredge Goetz on Missouri River

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, collaborated with the St. Paul District, of the Mississippi Valley Division, to bring the Dredge Goetz onto the Missouri River from late October through early November 2021 to participate in a pilot project to dredge sediment that had created shallow areas in the shipping channel.
  • Corps of Engineers to begin annual drawdown of Ashtabula and Homme lakes

    ST. PAUL, Minn. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, plans to drawdown or lower levels of two North Dakota reservoirs, Lake Ashtabula behind Baldhill Dam, near Valley City, and Homme Lake behind Homme Reservoir, near Park River, starting in November.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on its draft environmental assessment for the proposed Big Sand Lake shoreline stabilization project in Burnett County, Wisconsin, within the St. Croix Chippewa Reservation.
  • Minneapolis locks closing for the end of navigation season

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is closing its Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam and Lock and Dam 1, both in Minneapolis, to commercial and recreational vessels for the end of the navigation season Monday, Nov. 1.
  • Corps of Engineers seeks public comments on Pool 10 habitat restoration

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking comments on its draft feasibility report and integrated environmental assessment for its proposed Lower Pool 10 habitat rehabilitation and enhancement project on the Upper Mississippi River near Guttenberg, Iowa.
