    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 6, 2020) – The deputy commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District received a promotion to the rank of lieutenant colonel today during a ceremony at the district’s headquarters.

    After more than 14 years of investigative and cleanup activities, the former Marion Engineer Depot in Marion, Ohio, is deemed environmentally restored and No Further Action is necessary. The environmental remediation process followed the federal Comprehensive Environmental Restoration Compensation and Liability Act for Formerly Used Defense Sites.

The Jan. 7 Los Angeles County wildfires debris removal operation was one of our largest, most challenging missions. More than 1,400 USACE personnel deployed from across the nation and from our district to support debris removal operations. /6
