  • Learning alongside each other: Kansas City District ERDC-U graduates

    Two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District employees recently graduated from a six-month program called ERDC University on Sept. 15, 2022, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, through the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center. Jesseca Alexander, Kansas City District civil engineer, and Brandon Meinert, Kansas City District building information modeling program manager, were two of six graduates from the program.

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District at Enid Lake partnered with the Chickasaw Hill Volunteer Association, and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) to host the 29th annual Physically Challenged Fishing Day on Sept. 10.

  • USACE Vicksburg District announces Project Partnership Agreement with City of Louisville

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District entered into a Project Partnership Agreement (PPA) with the City of Louisville, Mississippi, July 29, 2022, as part of the Mississippi Environmental Infrastructure Program (Section 592). Mayor Will Hill signed the Partnership Project Agreement for the City of Louisville, and Col. Christopher Klein, Vicksburg District commander, signed for USACE. The signing ceremony was held at City Hall.

    On April 14, a team of U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) leaders visited Mississippi State University (MSU). The event — designated as ERDC Day — consisted of classroom presentations, an exhibit/student intern showcase and a public affairs panel to link MSU students to ERDC.

  • Nashville District Small Business Office holds industry day

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville Small Business Industry Day held a virtual information and networking event. The “Back-2-Business, from Incorporation to Negotiations” themed event provided an opportunity for participants to attend small business workshops, learn about USACE programs and small business opportunities, meet with other federal agencies, and network. The U.S. Small Business Administration, Tennessee Small Business Development Center and Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and many other organizations, were in attendance.
