    LANCASTER, Tenn. (May 30, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering more public tours of the Center Hill Dam Powerhouse here Saturday, July 19, Aug. 16, and Sept. 6, 2014. The free guided tours of the structure are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon and are approximately 45 minutes in length.

    JAMESTOWN, Ky. (May 30, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public tours of the Wolf Creek Dam Powerhouse here Saturday, June 21, July 5, Aug. 16 and Sept. 6, 2014. The free guided tours of the structure are at noon and are approximately 45 minutes in length.
  • NR 14-015: Corps to allow public access to Wilson Navigation Lock

    FLORENCE, Ala. (May 21, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announced today that it is offering the public unescorted access to Wilson Navigation Lock beginning May 23, 2014. The lock will be accessible to visitors Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and federal holidays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the year. It will only be closed to the public when it is drained and closed for periodic maintenance.
  • NR 14-014: Corps to allow unescorted access to Old Hickory Navigation Lock

    OLD HICKORY, Tenn. (May 20, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announced today that it is offering the public unescorted access to Old Hickory Navigation Lock beginning May 23, 2014. The lock will be accessible to visitors seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sept. 2, 2014.
  • NR 14-013: Lake Barkley opens up powerhouse, lock, resource management office for public tours

    GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (May 16, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering the public free guided tours of Lake Barkley’s Powerhouse, Lock and Natural Resource Management Office. Approximately two hours in length, tours are scheduled June 21, July 19 and Aug. 16, 2014, with tour start times of 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 2 p.m.

    SMITH, Ky. (May 15, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is offering public tours of Martins Fork Dam here Saturday, June 7, June 28, July 12, July 26, Aug. 9 and Aug. 23, 2014. The free guided tours of the structure are at 2 p.m. and are approximately 45 minutes in length.
  • NR 14-011: Closure of Bell Road scheduled at J. Percy Priest Dam

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 15, 2014) – Bell Road is closing at J. Percy Priest Dam from 7 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Friday between June 2 and July 11 while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District replaces the spillway gate chains and performs routine maintenance, which is required every five years. The roadway will be open on weekends over the duration of the work.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 14, 2014) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Academy of Science and Engineering at Stratford STEM Magnet High School garnered the Externship of the Year Award during the 2014 Academies of Nashville Awards hosted by the chamber of commerce May 12 at Rocketown on 4th Avenue.
