  • Army Corps to limit Regulatory Program operations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, DC in response to COVID-19

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, is incorporating preventative measures, including limiting some day-to-day operations of its Regulatory Program offices, such as postponing office meetings and public engagements to minimize potential exposure to Corps personnel, permit applicants and the general public. Field site visits will continue on a case-by-case basis following appropriate safety precautions and “social-distancing” measures.
  • Corps closures related to COVID-19

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District has a plan in place for continuity of operations during a pandemic crisis such as COVID-19, is prepared to respond accordingly and will provide additional information to the public as the situation develops. This communication currently includes information for visitors to Corps Regulatory Offices, as well as campers and recreational users regarding operational adjustments that will take place at navigation locks and recreation facilities.

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces emergency permitting procedures in response to Hurricane Maria and heavy damage in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announced it has authority to issue alternative/emergency permitting procedures in the Antilles in response to conditions resulting from Hurricane Maria, including heavy damage in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, including St. Croix, St. John, St. Thomas and other surrounding minor islands.
