  • Medical Division employees receive kudos from customer

    Two employees with the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville’s Medical Division received certificates of achievement from the director of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for support provided in fiscal year 2014 during a town hall Jan. 23. Huntsville Center commander Col. Robert Ruch presented Mark Batchelor and Lt. Cmdr. Brandon Groh with the certificates signed by Brig. Gen. Jeffrey B. Clark.
  • Army awards second technology under $7 billion renewable energy MATOC

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, working with the Army Energy Initiatives Task Force (EITF), awarded Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) to a group of 22 qualified solar technology contractors. The contractors that are qualified through this process will be able to compete for future projects within their approved technology area for any renewable energy task order issued under the MATOC by the Army or Department of Defense (DoD).

    During eight years of demilitarization operations at the Anniston Chemical Agent Disposal Facility, the Anniston chemical munitions stockpile was safely eliminated.
