Public comments sought on draft integrated letter report, programmatic environmental assessment for inspection stations in Upper Missouri River Basin

A draft integrated letter report and programmatic environmental assessment has been developed to determine the economic and environmental impacts of federal participation in state-managed watercraft inspection programs along the Upper Missouri River Basin in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. Public comments on the draft EA will be accepted until March 2, 2021.

Corps announces review and comment period for environmental document

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, today released a Draft Environmental Assessment titled. “Louisiana Coastal Area (LCA) Beneficial Use of Dredged Material Program, Barataria Bay Waterway at Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.” This environmental assessment covers a proposal to place fill material in the narrow corridor of wetlands that separate Bayou Perot and Bayou Rigolettes in Jefferson Parish.

Controlling saltcedar and Russian olive at Fort Peck Reservoir, MT

A draft supplemental environmental assessment for the control of saltcedar and Russian olive at the Fort Peck Reservoir, Montana. is available for review. The draft supplemental EA evaluates the environmental impacts of controlling the spread of large infestations of these noxious weeds through aerial application of aquatically-approved formulations of the herbicides triclopyr and 2,4-D. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than April 12.
