  • Newbury receives Army Research and Development Awards

    George E. Newbury IV, a physical scientist with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s (ERDC) Topographic Engineering Center (TEC) recently received three research and development(R&D) awards for his achievement during 2007. Newbury is the recipient of the Department of the Army R&D Achievement Award, the ERDC R&D Achievement Award and the TEC Award for Scientific and Technological Achievement.

    Juan A. Pérez recently received the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal from the Army Engineer Association on behalf of the Engineer Regiment. He was recognized for superior leadership and career contributions to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC).
  • Watts selected as special projects officer

    Joseph M. Watts was recently selected as the special projects officer in ERDC-TEC’s Executive Office. He will also serve as the program manager for various special projects. Watts was formerly an associate technical director in the Office of the Technical Directors.

    Winchester native Staff Sgt. Andrew Jenkins was recently selected as the distinguished graduate of the Advanced Topographic Analyst Course during a graduation ceremony at Fort Belvoir, Va. Jenkins is assigned to the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s (ERDC) Topographic Engineering Center (TEC), Alexandria, Va. He is the noncommissioned officer in charge of TEC’s Military Support Team.
