    PERRY, Kan.— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Perry Lake will host the third annual Warrior deer hunt for Soldiers in Fort Riley’s Warrior Transition Battalion Dec. 9 through 11. During this event all ATV Trails, Rock Creek, Perry, Slough Creek and Longview parks will be temporarily closed for public use.

  • Special Permit Archery Hunt Scheduled at Clinton Lake

    LAWRENCE, Kan.— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Clinton Lake announce the opening of the application process for the annual Special Archery Hunt at Bloomington and Rockhaven parks. Applicants will be randomly chosen and allowed to hunt in assigned, designated areas from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2016.

    Hunters are reminded of tree stand requirements on U. S. Army Corps of Engineers lands, located in Yankton and Clay counties in South Dakota and Knox and Cedar counties in Nebraska. Portable tree stands are permitted, and may remain on project lands from August 15 through February 15 each year.

    Lake Shelbyville – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers would like to announce that the Lake Shelbyville Tree Stand Policy for this season are now available and will remain the same as it was last season. Seasonal and Roving tree stand permits may be obtained from the Lake Shelbyville Project Office Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Bo Wood, Coon Creek or Lithia Springs Fee Booths during operating hours.
