    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – (Sept. 9, 2021) – U.S. Army Col. James L. Booth took command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District today during a change of command ceremony at the at the Terry Theater, Times Union Center, Jacksonville. He becomes the 61st commander of the district.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announces a series of Operational Guidance Workshops for the Lake Okeechobee System Operating Manual (LOSOM) Project Delivery Team (PDT). The first LOSOM Operational Guidance Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2021 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Additional Operational Guidance Workshops are scheduled for September 22 and 29.
  • LA District marks completion of Newport Bay Harbor jetty repairs, dredging slated to finish Sept. 10

    After the placement of 4,500 tons of stone and 150 cubic yards of concrete, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District marked the completion of repairs to the east jetty at Newport Bay Harbor, with the area reopening to the public Aug. 25.
