    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 24, 2019) – As rainfall runoff makes its way through the Cumberland River Basin, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is quickly turning its attention to drawing down its storage reservoirs.

  • Community commemorates, dedicates Dale Hollow Dam on 75th Anniversary

    CELINA, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2018) – As a heavy fog lifted over Dale Hollow Dam and Reservoir during the 75th Anniversary Commemoration this morning, members of the community and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials brought into clear focus how communities, homes and farmlands were given up in the early 1940s to make way for the reservoir, and more than a thousand men worked day and night to construct the dam. A few even lost their lives supporting an expedited construction program.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 12, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Dale Hollow Dam Road at the dam in Celina, Tenn., is closing 8 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 17 and will reopen 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, allowing for setup and cleanup of area in conjunction with the 75th Commemoration of the dam.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 1, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District invites the public to attend a commemoration to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Dale Hollow Dam and Reservoir 10 a.m. (Central Standard Time) Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at the dam’s overlook in Celina, Tenn. The dam and reservoir will serve as the backdrop for this historical occasion.

  • NR 17-042: Water lines replacement scheduled at Dale Hollow Dam Campground

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 14, 2017) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that work to replace water lines at Dale Hollow Dam Campground in Celina, Tenn., begins Dec. 18, 2017, making it necessary to close public access. The work is scheduled to be completed in March 2018, weather permitting.
