    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Memorial Day weekend is one of the top three busiest weekends of the year for the region’s lakes and rivers, and officials at the Army Corps of Engineers expect that 2020 will be no exception.
  • Vicksburg District to reopen select recreation areas in Louisiana, Arkansas June 1

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District will reopen select campgrounds and other recreation areas within the jurisdiction of its Louisiana Field Office – Bayou Bodcau, Caddo Lake, Wallace Lake, the J. Bennett Johnston Waterway and the Ouachita-Black River – beginning June 1.
  • COE to reopen additional boat ramps, some campgrounds

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – Phased reopening of campgrounds and additional boat ramps at reservoirs owned and operated by the Army Corps of Engineers along the Savannah River will take place May 15 and May 18, 2020. Playgrounds, beaches, shelters and life jacket loaner stands will remain closed until further notice. Visitor centers at all three projects will remain closed to the public.
