  • Army Corps of Engineers begins gradual reopening of recreation areas closed due to Coronavirus

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Thursday that it has begun the gradual reopening of some USACE-managed recreation areas that were closed to protect against the further spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The health and safety of USACE personnel, contractors, volunteers and the visiting public remain our highest priority.

  • Vicksburg District to reopen select recreation areas in Louisiana, Arkansas June 1

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District will reopen select campgrounds and other recreation areas within the jurisdiction of its Louisiana Field Office – Bayou Bodcau, Caddo Lake, Wallace Lake, the J. Bennett Johnston Waterway and the Ouachita-Black River – beginning June 1.
  • COE to reopen additional boat ramps, some campgrounds

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – Phased reopening of campgrounds and additional boat ramps at reservoirs owned and operated by the Army Corps of Engineers along the Savannah River will take place May 15 and May 18, 2020. Playgrounds, beaches, shelters and life jacket loaner stands will remain closed until further notice. Visitor centers at all three projects will remain closed to the public.
