    Oklahoma Marine Enforcement Section Trooper Danny Choate and Eufaula Lake park rangers Eric Fassio and Chris Gilliland participated in the rescue and were recently recognized for their efforts with lifesaving awards presented by Tulsa District commander Col. Michael Teague.

Bob Portiss, Port of Catoosa director, and Steven Greetham, Chief General Counsel for the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce, also participated in the panel.

  • Corps, Oklahoma Department of Transportation sign agreement

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation signed a memorandum of agreement on Friday, Oct. 19 at the Tulsa District headquarters. Under the memorandum the Corps will provide a dedicated project manager to oversee reviews of regulatory permit applications submitted by ODOT for transportation projects. This position will be funded by the state agency.
  • From Soldier to civilian: He still means business

    Former deputy commander Gene Snyman is no stranger to the Tulsa District. However, since his retirement in July 2012, Snyman has traded his “green” suit for a business suit. Snyman is the new deputy, small business programs, for the Tulsa District and is in the process of learning his new responsibilities.
  • Volunteers, park rangers clean-up Younger Bend trail at Eufaula Lake

    Volunteers and park rangers recently spent a day removing debris, trimming trees and clearing the Younger Bend Trail in the Memorial Overlook at Eufaula Lake. The trail, which was created in 1995, was left impassible in 2007 by an ice storm.
