(May 3, 2012) – Congressman Mo Brooks of Alabama’s 5th, and representative of Robert Aderholt of Alabama’s 4th Districts, took today to get a full view of an empty Wilson Lock on the Tennessee River. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District maintainers performing major repairs at the lock gave the two local Congressmen briefings and tour to understand the process and requirements involved with lock operations.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 27, 2012) – If a major earthquake occurred along the New Madrid Seismic Zone, it would likely result in widespread damage in several states, particularly Tennessee. At an emergency management planning meeting at Tennessee Emergency Management Agency Headquarters, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District led discussions during a New Madrid Planning Workshop to prepare for such a catastrophe.
