BOISE, Idaho – A community-sponsored triathlon athletic event will be held at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Lucky Peak Dam and Lake June 7 through June 11, affecting visitor access to some recreation areas during those days.

BOISE, Idaho – Boise River and Lucky Peak lake levels may increase or decrease during the next week or later as reservoir operators manage for a balance between refill operations and flood risk management. Lucky Peak Dam and Lake has sufficient capacity for anticipated inflows at this time.

US Army Corps of Engineers trails designated as National Recreation Trails
Today the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) announced that four U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) trails are among 41 trails designated as national recreation trails by DOI. These trails will join the national network of more than 1,100 recreation trails that span from coast to coast and encompass more than 13,000 miles of existing trails and trail systems.
