Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment Bryan Gossage presents a coin to U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL), civil engineer James (Jim) Allen, while CERL Acting Director Dr. Kirankumar Topudurti and CERL Acting Deputy Director Michelle Hanson observe at the CERL in Champaign, Ill., Oct. 30, 2020. Allen was recognized for his outstanding support to IE&E and his work on autonomous vehicles. Allen’s efforts are helping the Army learn how to evaluate autonomous vehicle technologies to increase installation readiness, resiliency and quality of life.
