Debris team wrapping up FEMA technical support mission in Middle Tennessee
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 23, 2020) – The Corps of Engineers’ team supporting clean-up efforts in Middle Tennessee in the wake of deadly tornadoes that devastated the region in early March is wrapping up its FEMA technical support mission where contractors have removed an estimated 450,000 cubic yards of debris, enough to fill 137 Olympic-size swimming pools.

BROOKLYN, New York – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has issued three mission assignments for debris removal in New York and New Jersey to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in response to damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. NR 20-014: Lake Cumberland’s Lakeview Boat Ramp closed to stage debris
SOMERSET, Ky. (May 15, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces the temporary closure of the Lakeview Boat Ramp until further notice. The boat ramp area is being used for the Corps of Engineers debris collection program for staging and processing large wood collected from Lake Cumberland and its shoreline.
