  • Army Corps of Engineers and FLW to partner on efforts to connect America’s youth with the outdoors

    Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today it will partner with FLW and the FLW Foundation on future events and activities designed to connect America’s youth to their natural resources while promoting education, conservation and an active lifestyle.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to conduct visitor surveys at recreation areas beginning this spring

    WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today that it will conduct visitor surveys this spring and summer at more than 30 of its lake sites nationwide. Beginning in late March and continuing through September 2013, visitors exiting USACE-managed recreation facilities will be asked about their length of stay and overall experience. Participation in the survey is voluntary.

    WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that it will waive day-use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at the more than 2,400 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide on Veterans Day, November 11.
  • Army Corps of Engineers waives day-use fees on National Public Lands Day, Sept. 29

    WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will waive day-use fees at its more than 2,400 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide in recognition of National Public Lands Day, Sept. 29. On this day, fees normally charged at boat launch ramps and swimming beaches will be waived. USACE does not charge entrance fees to its parks.
