  • Corps to lower Mississippi River levels in Minneapolis to conduct inspections

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Mississippi River will look significantly different next week as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, prepares to conduct periodic inspections at two of its locks in Minneapolis.
  • Early drawdown scheduled at Smithville Lake

    SMITHVILLE, Mo. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Smithville Lake announce a two-foot drawdown starting early November in order to safely conduct maintenance repairs on the stilling basin.
  • 20-043 JOINT RELEASE: Lucky Peak Reservoir pool to begin lowering on August 17

    BOISE, Idaho -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation will begin lowering the pool elevation of Lucky Peak Reservoir on Monday, August 17. The lowering of Lucky Peak Reservoir follows a typical end of season reservoir drawdown for irrigation as experienced in prior years. Lucky Peak Reservoir pool began lowering on August 14 in 2018 and on August 18 in 2019.
