    RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Russellville Project Office announces that Annual Day Use Passes for 2015 are now available for purchase. They are for sale at: 1598 Lock and Dam Road in Russellville, 6298 Prince Street in Conway, and 6042 Lock and Dam Road in Ozark.
  • CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR LOWER ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the lower Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.
  • CORPS ISSUES SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR LOWER HALF OF ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River from Little Rock, Ark. downstream. Recent heavy rains caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.
  • In-house crews finish major Lock & Dam 14 maintenance ahead of schedule

    Using in-house crews, Tulsa District replaced the pintle balls and bushings on the upstream miter gates at W.D. Mayo Lock and Dam 14, over the period August 31 – September 12, and performed other needed repairs, completing the work three days ahead of schedule.
  • USA’s largest towboat returns to Arkansas River

    The Mississippi River Commission visited the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System Aug. 10 through 14 to perform a low-water inspection and meet with stakeholders onboard the Motor Vessel Mississippi, the largest towboat in the country and the official vessel of the MRC. The vessel is 241 feet long, 52 feet high and is an operational towboat 90 percent of the time.
  • Fishing Access Road at Cooks Landing Park to be Closed During Repair

    The Army Corps of Engineers advises that the access road from Cooks Landing Park to the North Little Rock Hydroelectric Power Plant and fishing access parking lot will be closed beginning Thursday Sept. 25 for repairs.
  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 25 ACROSS GREERS FERRY DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE IN JUNE

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – One lane of Highway 25 across Greers Ferry Dam will close temporarily from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. June 24 through June 25.
  • Corps to Asphalt the Road and Boat Launching Ramp at Norfork Lake’s Udall Park

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers’ Mountain Home Project Office is advising the public that road crews will be laying new asphalt in Udall Park Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 16. While work is underway roads and the boat launching ramp, access will be periodically interrupted.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers' Little Rock District is seeking public comments through June 2 on a proposal to rehabilitate existing structures and construct a multi-lane high water boat launch ramp and modern fishing tournament weigh-in facility and other associated recreational improvements at Panther Bay Park on Norfork Lake near Mountain Home, Arkansas.
  • BULL SHOALS LAKE MASTER PLAN REVISIONS REQUIRE TEMPORARY HALT TO SHORELINE MANAGEMENT REQUESTS

    Mountain Home, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers’ Mountain Home Project Office will suspend shoreline activity requests for Bull Shoals Lake beginning May 23 until Dec. 31, 2015 to establish a baseline of the lake for officials to use while revising its 40-year-old master plan.
