  • CEC, USACE Sign Global Cooperative Agreement

    The Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. (CEC) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) have formalized a cooperative relationship aimed at advancing technical excellence and collaboration in the global coastal environment. The agreement, effective July 19, 2024, outlines mutual goals and specific areas of cooperation beneficial to both organizations.
  • Sacramento District projects receive ASCE awards

    Two Sacramento area projects were recognized for their excellence during an awards dinner as part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 9 and San Francisco Section’s annual infrastructure symposium April 22 in San Francisco. The Sacramento District took home two prizes amongst 21 categories of California projects including 2021 ASCE Region 9 Project of the Year and Flood Management Project of the Year.

  • HHD named Project of the Year

    The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Palm Beach Branch has given its Outstanding Project of the Year Award to Jacksonville District, for its work in designing and constructing the improvements to reduce the risk of failure at the dike. The award is presented annually by the organization to recognize the best example of an innovative or outstanding design/construction project in Palm Beach County.

(Feb. 26, 2013) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District’s deputy district engineer for Project Management received the 2013 Professional Engineer in Government Award from the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers during the Middle Tennessee All Engineers Banquet Feb. 22, 2013 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel.
  • Sacramento levee project earns 2012 Flood Control Project of the Year award

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District and its contractor, Magnus Pacific Corporation, will be recognized with the American Society of Civil Engineers Sacramento Section 2012 Flood Control Project of the Year award for their work on an American River levee project north of the California State University-Sacramento campus during a ceremony Feb. 20 in Sacramento, Calif.
