    Army Corps announces Lake Washington elevation reductions, in preparation for the Suquamish Tribal fishing season, will begin Sept. 15. Drawdown has begun, and projected lake level should reach 20.22 feet by Sept. 15.

    ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has begun pumping eroded sections of St. Augustine Beach north, south and underneath the St. Johns County Ocean Pier, Saturday, Aug. 10-11, 2024 to replace eroded sand when Hurricane Debby passed through Florida.

  • Restored Fish and Wildlife Habitat Officially Reopens at Lake Ballinger

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Mountlake Terrace celebrated the completion of a fish and wildlife habitat restoration project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 30, at Ballinger Park, Wash. Covering more than 16 acres of a former golf course, the transformation project restores wetlands, riparian corridors, and creates more places for birds, fish, turtles, salamanders, and native mammals to live.

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has begun executing several days of minor repairs along the southern jetty system at Venice Inlet; repair work is expected to complete by Friday, July 25, 2024.

    A proposed alteration of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska/ Winnebago Tribe Broadband Fiber Optic Project, located on the Winnebago Reservation and in the adjacent communities of Emerson, Homer, and Wakefield in Thurston County, Nebraska, is currently available for public review and comment. The purpose of the project is to deploy a broadband infrastructure network to connect unserved/underserved tribal households, businesses, and community anchor institutions (i.e., schools, medical facilities) to reliable and affordable high-speed internet.
